Education for the People was developed as part of Western Governors University’s rotating two-year brand campaign, with a clear challenge: stand apart in a sea of higher-ed marketing that all looks and sounds the same. The goal was to create a campaign that felt bolder, more human, and unmistakably different—something that could live seamlessly across channels while still stopping people mid-scroll. By pushing the visual language and tone beyond traditional university norms, the campaign aimed to connect with real audiences in a way that felt authentic, accessible, and unapologetically modern. Initial concept by Sam Wilson, copy by Ryan Unger, video by Peter Davidson, support and production work done by Deylan Smith.
