Truck Yeah!

Truck Yeah! is a mobile app designed to make finding and enjoying food trucks easier, more transparent, and more inclusive. Similar to restaurant discovery platforms, the app focuses exclusively on food trucks and allowing patrons to locate their favorites in real time, discover new vendors, and view weekly schedules all in one place. At the same time, food truck operators are empowered with tools to update their location, menus, and hours, keeping information accurate and current. What truly sets Truck Yeah! apart is its emphasis on allergy and dietary information, addressing a major gap in food truck culture and helping users confidently decide where (and what)they can eat.

Brainstorming

Truck Yeah! was created to solve a common friction point in food truck culture: discovering great food is easy, but finding reliable, up-to-date information isn’t. Unlike broad restaurant platforms, the app is purpose-built for food trucks, allowing patrons to locate nearby trucks in real time, explore new vendors, and view weekly schedules without digging through social feeds or outdated listings. By centering the experience around mobility and spontaneity, Truck Yeah! supports how people actually interact with food trucks—on the go, in the moment, and often with limited time to decide.

Mapping

The user experience was designed around two distinct but connected audiences: patrons and food truck operators. For users, intuitive search, filtering, and map-based discovery make it easy to find trucks by cuisine, location, schedule, and allergy accommodations—helping those with dietary restrictions make confident, informed choices. For operators, a streamlined backend allows quick updates to menus, locations, schedules, and allergy information, ensuring accuracy without adding operational burden. This dual-sided UX approach keeps information current, builds trust with users, and positions Truck Yeah! as both a discovery tool and an operational partner for food trucks.
